Iran Claims Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched operations across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any impact is uncertain and the American officials has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - said they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted locations associated with the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," it added.
Officials reported wreckage fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some material damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
